Supai
Village and Grand Canyon Sky Walk
Kingman Arizona is located so close to many wonderful places. The
Supai Village is situated in Havasu Canyon, a southwesternbranch of the Grand
Canyon which is on the Havasupai NationReservation. The area has three beautiful
blue-green waterfalls, NavajoFalls, Havasu Falls and Mooney Falls. The name
Havasupaitranslates to “People-of-the-Blue-Green-Waters.”

The watertemperature is approximately 70 degrees throughout the
year. There is an8-mile hike from the Hualapai Hilltop parking area to
SupaiVillage. Horse or helicopter transportation can also be arrangedin advance.
You are expected to carry your own food, water and camping equipment. Pack horses
are also available.Supai Village has a small store, a café, lodge and a
museum. The Hualapai Tribe also commissioned the building of a glass skywalkat
the Grand Canyon’s western rim, which opened in2007. The Skywalk is the only
glass bridge to suspend more than 4,000 feet above the Colorado River and extend
over theedge of the Grand Canyon. Both of these sights are within 100 miles of
Kingman Arizona and are just a couple of the many sightseeing marvels which are
in your backyard.
