Kingman Arizona is the seat of Mohave County and is a county with just

Mohave County, Arizona, and is also the
county
seat. According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city
is 28,068. The nearby communities of
New Kingman and
Golden Valley bring the Kingman area total population to over 66,000.
Kingman is located 33 miles east of
Bullhead City, Arizona and as your

county seat is
Kingman. While the largest single city is
Lake Havasu City, the area with highest population is the
Bullhead City /
Fort Mohave /
Mohave Valley area. Mohave County contains parts of
Grand Canyon National Park and
Lake Mead National Recreation Area and all of the
Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument. The
Kaibab,
Fort Mojave and
Hualapai Indian Reservations also lie within the county.

fifth-largest county in the United States by land area
There are many attractions in the county. Pipe Springs National
Monument is 15 miles southwest of Fredonia. The natural spring drew the
Mormons to the area in 1858. They established a settlement and built a
fort. This was the site of
Arizona's Colorado River,
as it winds its way from the
Grand Canyon
south to Mexican. As the River travels 240 miles through the
recreational area it forms two long lakes. Lake Mohave and Lake Mead
offer visitors year round fun. Territory's first telegraph station. Today, the monument
preserves the buildings from the past. Lake Mead National Recreational Area includes a portion of the

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge has marshes, open water and desert
landscape. This combination of environments allows many different kinds
of wildlife to make the refuge their new home. Visitors might see snow
goose or even Canadian geese.
Lake Havasu State Park was created in 1968 and is the largest state park.
The park includes camping, fishing, swimming, picnicking and boating.
